I hate having junk on my counter, especially something that's designed for guests not residents. I'd hang either a hand towel ring, which would be convenient to both sinks, or a cheerful small print that you like.

Just place a piece of art in the space. Something that makes you happy to look at everyday.

I agree with art. I realize it can get water splashes or whatever, but it's not a big deal to wipe off. Moisture from steam can factor in, so I'd just find something easy to replace, if needed.

Narrow canvas art which is easy to wipe 'clean'.
