Hot tub spa disconnect location

I am installing a new pool and cage, where the stand alone hot tub will reside in one corner , next to the house. The current disconnect for the spa will still be over 5ft away from the water source (tub, pool) and still be within site Per code. My question is with the "Readily Accessible" portion. THe shut off will be on the outside of the screen cage, so to shut it off you would have to walk out of the screened area where the hot tub is to turn it off. Is this NEC acceptable? OR will I have to move the shut off inside the screen room, which would mean running another 100 feet of THWN ($$$$)

I'd say no. Hopefully this is a permitted installation and a call to the building inspector's office would get their view.

The original hot tub wiring was Inspected and permitted during the house build 2 years ago. But now with the screen room going in, wasn;t sure about accessibility.

A building inspector would be a good person to ask, but I think "readily accessible" means not behind a bush or a permanent cabinet. For example, in a kitchen, behind the refrigerator is OK but behind mounted wall cabinets is not.

I am hoping that because it will have direct line of sight it will be allowed. THanks for the input

Don't have the specific code in front of me, but pretty certain it has to be in line of sight from the spa, and readily accessible. Line of sight can be left up to discretion by an inspector.

A call to the city/town inspector would clear it up.
