Using marmoleum linoleum sheet as floating floor?

I’m interested in using a small piece of sheet linoleum (Forbo Marmoleum) in a small laundry room measuring about 6x6’. Could I get away with using double sided flooring tape to secure this through midsection and perimeter and then lock sides down with baseboards?

I’m hoping to do this directly on top of existing vinyl as a semi-temporary solution for a year or so. Given the small footprint and fact it will be further held down with washer and dryer units, I felt this might be reasonably secure. I prefer using the linoleum instead of normal floating vinyl for eco reasons but also because it coordinates with other areas of my home - the click tiles unfortunately do not come in the color I’m seeking.
