We are adding a bathroom downstairs and we can’t help but feel the spare room downstairs really needs some love. Because there is baseboard heat, and a built in closet/drawer opposite the door, the room really only has one wall you can put a bed. We took the door off the built in so you can put in a couch or desk as well. But we also notice the room is dark because of the ducting has a drop on just one side of the room. Any remodel/design suggestions to improve the usability and lighting? I am not sure if we can install recessed lights under the ducting and maybe molding with led lights would be weird due to the fact the room is assymetrical.
