Lighting Dining Room

Lighting over extendable dining table vaulted ceiling

Our new dining room area after remodel will only allow for either a 48” or 54” round table, however space (though not day to day) will allow for extension up to 72 or 84 however only in one direction. Adding to the dilemma is that the ceiling is vaulted. Wondering do I have multiple pendants and only turn on based on table size? Similarly is track lighting the answer? Would really like a pendant/barrel lighting.

Some photos to add to my post. The sketch is existing plan. Colour renderings the new design. Colour photo the area/ceiling as is. Hope this helps.
