I have very dark green ones, conversion varnish, not actual paint. My sheen is low, and my door style doesn't have any corners for dust and dirt to build up on. My kitchen has been in use for 6 months and the maintenance is no different than previous light colored ones. Door style is a big decider...I would not go dark with a regular shaker and all of its corners. I absolutely love my dark cabinets and would choose them again.

@lucky998877 any photos? I have heard dark cabinets are a pain in the butt to care for but am curious to know in case I ever decide to repaint my own as well one day. NOT doing it anytime soon...only been in our home for 6 months and perfectly happy with how they are currently. I did consider black lowers though and may revisit the idea in the future some years from now.
