Confused -- you want backsplash suggestions but said you won't be changing the backsplash - ?

Lots of options but white tone/pattern that you like. Shop around, bring home samples, look on Houzz for ideas. Also model homes have great looking kitchen. Puck lights under cabinets will brighten the room too!

You will need to find find whatever the lightest color is in the counter.

On my screen that would be a taupe.

You also need to coord8nate it with the floor.

You really have many, many options. Don't be afraid of color here -- it is your friend. First decide if you want to go bold or soft. Looking at your living room, I see light-ish blue walls -- you could do a soft blue subway tile to tie it all to the living room, or a soft blue grey or soft green. You could also go with a strong color -- combination of white cabs with black counter can take pretty much any color thrown at it. Pick up a bunch of sample tiles and start narrowing it down.

I think I have the same granite on my counters; I believe the name of the granite is “Baltic Brown”.

The granite looks like a speckled black on my monitor. I don't see brown at all. If it is indeed brown, OP, then disregard my comments above -- I said what I said because what I see on my monitor is white cabs, black counter.

I’d steer away from light because the cabinets are remaining white and that may be hard to match if you wanted a white or cream backsplash. What about blue?
