What's wrong with my lime leaves?

This is a new problem on this 11 year old Mexican Lime tree. They look like bleach splashed on the leaves. This does not match up with what I find on citrus leaf disease images online.

Any idea what it is?

Thanks!

Resembles salt burn (usually from fertilizer salt accumulation). But since you're in zone 10, it probably isn't in a pot where salt burn is more common.

fert is never an answer to physical damage ...

first.. note new growth is unaffected .. which to me.. means this happened back in time ..

and i suspect something was sprayed on the leaves in sunshine.. and it burned the leaves.. where it puddled on the leaf tip ... and fert is salts.. so fruity agrees ...

a pic of the whole plant.. might also help.. to see the pattern overall ...

also.. where are you.. big city name.. and how about some background on the plant other than scarred leaves ...

as it stands now.. watch new growth .. and if its ok ... then there is nothing to do currently.. you cant fix history ... ooo.. i gotta remember that one.. lol ...

    Thanks for your replies.

I have different citrus trees for many years and this is the first time I've seen spots that look like fabric with bleach splatters on them. I've been using diluted Miracle Grow for years and have not done anything new or different with this lime. Don't know what could have gotten on these leaves that are 4 to 7 feet off the ground on the patio.

Aside from these spots that started appearing a few weeks ago this tree has many new leaves and put out lots of flower buds recently. I'd say it's doing better than it has in years. I have been consistent with watering in the last year and half.

Does salt burn look like this? When I water with diluted fert I do it to all the plants, This includes Kaffir Lime, Buddha's Hand citron, kumquat and Meyer's lemon. Nothing else has this. All my citrus are in good size pots and I switch out the soil every few years if they need it.

The above leave problem is my main concern since it's on quite a few leaves and I've never seen this type before. The other leave issue is pictured below. These leaves get soft and fall off.

That looks like mechanical damage or windburn. Perhaps salt burn bleached by sunlight. I'm leaning towards windburn though.

For what it's worth, mesophyll collapse from lack of watering (skip a day here or there) plus low-humidity wind and sun can cause the same effects.

Thanks Tom. The 2 leaves looks like mesophyll collapse. The sun hasn't been very fierce for a few months and wind has been normal. Of the many different citrus leave problems I've seen in the last 20 years this is new to me. I'm a serial killer of plants and have seen a lot of mayhem...

What is considered high salt in water? I will look into water quality here.

Have you sprayed anything on it at all recently?

No sprays and nothing different has been done. It's puzzling this new leaf spot pattern is different from all others I've had with the different citrus trees. It literally is like bleach splatter on fabric.
