Every time I use the kitchen sink I have to dry off any water spots on the window ledge right behind it. The water is very hard and leaves spots on the paint that are permanent! Also there is what appears to be water damage below the ledge that looks like it has soaked into the wood! It was repainted in the fall. Maybe this part of the ledge isn’t even wood. Very strange.

Should I tile it? I’ve included 3 photos with one of my kitchen for color choices.

Any suggestions as to what to do with this ledge would be greatly appreciated.
