This is a great room. I think the paint color does not complement the FP stone. It needs to be less gray and more greige/beige. Lower the wreath. Things on wall should be eye level meaning the center of a piece should be 60-65" from the floor. Lower the TV to eye level also. The curtain panels are not full enough. They should be 2-21/2 times the width of the window.

I agree with all of jck910's comments. Also add a large piece of art or a framed mirror to the wall facing the windows, above the leather poufs.

Paint the t v wall the color of the sectional, but tape off some of the gray too make a “frame".

As you can see in this photo, the dark blue doesn’t touch the stone. Maybe make the blue area as big as the console.

Replace all the throw pillows with white ones and add more panels to the windows. Make them fuller.

Nothing on fireplace stone.

I would start with a rug that has all the colors and fills the room so you can have the kids on one that goes with the room too. Or get them a small version or one with those colors.

I would use a dark red for the TV wall (color and mock to below.

You could add a scroll work iron piece above the TV.

I agree lower the wreath. The poufs would look great as a part of the main furniture grouping either on the side or towards the TV in one on each side.

This gold pillows would look great on the couch.

Can you do a picture toward the wall where the poufs are now?

For your other walls I would pull one of the lighter colors from your fireplace

Hi, did you recently repaint your kitchen and family room? From what I see in the other post your walls sort of have a pinkish hue or is it just the light bouncing off the wood floor to the wall? In the light your sectional come like a silvery gray but without you can see the bluish tone.

Really like the room and all that natural light.

TV seems high for comfort but IF the television is at a comfortable height for you, then you might consider raising the height of your cabinet by adding taller legs (that will hold its weight).

The wreath (holiday/seasonal?) seems high -- centered at eye level for the tallest person in the family is usually a good height.

To see if furniture will fit a different way, it helps to draw the room, to scale, including indicating all doorways and windows and fireplaces -- fixed features. Then, on separate paper or index card stock, draw the "foot print" of each piece of furniture and cut them out so you can place them on the drawing of the room and move them around.

Will your sofa fit if you rotate it so you don't have a back against the windows -- so the part now with its back to the windows is facing the television?.

Even if you have a full set of white sheers, it might be stylish to mix in the odd panel of gray sheers and blush sheers.

many of the basics in the room — raw woods, steel, leather, the grays, the big tv — go toward industrial , so i think it would be easier to keep going in that direction rather than trying to pull the room toward florals and landscapes or traditional plaids and such You can bring in soft textures to keep it from getting too industrial and a soft accent pastel
