Lighting Design Dilemma

Chandelier Size?

We are replacing our chandelier for a new expandable circle dining room table in a 15 x 15 sized room. The table goes from a 64" to an 84" diameter. I'm wondering if I size the chandelier according to the 15 x 15 room size and the smaller table size (thus 30-32" diameter for the chandelier) or the table expanded at 84" which would call for a wider width (42"+).

You didn't mention the height of the ceiling. That should be considered also in selecting a chandelier.

I would select a chandelier that is about 36" to 42" in diameter depending on the scale

Thanks Beverly. The ceilings are 9'9" tall (1884 Victorian farmhouse).

Well then it might be nice to select a chandelier that has lights on multiple levels. I'm not sure ........would Victorian Farmhouse be a simple chandelier style? Wood?
