ready seal solid will eventually peel

Use oil based stain. The water based is more of a watered down paint and can peel like paint.....Rocking and I posted at the same time.

So you are both saying I should use the ready seal stain? The Cabot one is the solid.

No solid stains, they always peel. You need one that soaks into the fence. Oil based is the best. It sounds like the two posts above are also saying no, not yes. This should have been added to your previous post, so is less confusing.

The Cabot product you posted a picture of is acrylic, which is a water based product. One sure way to tell is if clean up is with mineral spirits it is oil based. If clean up is with soap and water it is water based/acrylic. Again, it is always best to use a oil based stain on outdoor stuff that will be exposed to weather.

Although oil based stains have a more natural look. If you are looking for more coverage you will only get that really with a acrylic stain.
