First those shutters have to go they in no way work with any of those windows . So sad the brick got painted that would have been a nice addition to this style house . I am not fond of blue houses but I aslo don’t like blue walls so there you go. Now that the brick is painted I think all one coor would be best and the addition of nice wood garage doors with some glass for sure. A nice steel front door with no staorm door and if you like the screen get a Pantom screen

I agree, make siding and brick all one color. Remove the shutters and have the siding company install wider trim around the windows.

I like blue fine but any soft green would work too.

Do you live where it gets hot in summer? A black roof on a one story, especially if you don't have well engineered attic ventilation, can really add to interior heat in summer and drive up your A/C bill. You could go with a medium gray or one of the nice subtly variegated gray or gray-brown. Most companies offer several options along those lines.

I agree the shutters aren't really working, especially on the bay window. Your current roof color appears to be gray/charcoal...? If so, it works better than black for me since black roofs can often look harsh. As PCC posted, all one color seems a good choice for the siding for a better flow. A blue/gray would be nice. I also agree with some glass for the garage doors.

Thank you fr those suggestions. Yes, I have hated that painted brick but at a loss as to how to deal. I understand that the brick that is under is not "decorative". At the very least, we will get it repainted professionally and in either a matching shade of blue or a more pleasing tone of white. I agree with the wooden garage doors. I'm not in the know about shutters. What are your design thoughts? I've seen many houses without them and am considering that as an option.

Adding in following the other comments that have come in, I love the idea of wider trim and will inquire! Thanks for that tip. Will also expand into the garage door choices, including the glass options. Along with a monochrome color scheme on the siding and brick, wood garage doors with some glass will improve the overall look.

Helpful, thanks much. I suspect that the shutters I have were ported over when windows were updated by previous owners and we will not be replacing them after the siding is updated. With the consideration of just removing the paint to expose the brick, and after peeling away paint layers, I discovered that the brick on the left is orange while on the right (in the middle section of the house), it is white-ish in color (the left side of the house and 2nd garage was an addition). I suspect the brick was painted to hide the fact that two different styles were used. So we will probably continue to paint it and leaning towards a matching blue.
