You will get varying opinions. Some people love their electrolux machines and some love LG. My experience is I hated my Electrolux. It never cleaned the clothes well. Or maybe its that it didn’t rinse them well enough. It got to the point that when the clothes got wet they smelled horrid because of built up nastiness. I’d run a cycle of clothing on warm, heavy duty, heavy soil and at the end of the cycle the clothes stunk. This was close to a 2 hour cycle. At the time I thought it was something in the machine. We took the machine apart to find the smell and there was none. Everything smelled fine. We looked at everything possible and came up empty handed. In the end it turned out it was a funk that built up in the clothes and the smell would get reactivated when they got wet. We ended up getting rid of the washer and bought an LG. I’ve had to run all our clothes through sanitize cycles with ammonia. I am finally at the point where there is no smell. The clothes look cleaner, feel cleaner and smell a heck of a lot cleaner.

We are also in the process of getting new machines. We decided to go with LG because of the sidekick washer in the pedestal as well as the reviews all over seemed to lean us into this direction. Do you have a lot of people in the home who are constantly wearing clothing all day, everyday? Are they children who spill things and jump in puddles? Or are you a smaller household? Do you want the machines to fit under the cabinets or maybe you might want pedestals? Most machines are huge now anyway, sheesh, that surprised me. We chose the LG based on the large capacity and twin-wash function. I apologize for not having an answer based on our experience with the product, but I will say that I hear you! The amount of similar products out there make the decision so confusing! It is crazy!
