Restoration Hardware Cloud Bed- Is it worth it?

My husband and I are building a house (hopefully to be finished by the end of 2021) and I have started looking at furniture, as things are simply taking longer these days. For our master bedroom, I have been envisioning a king size Restoration Hardware Cloud Bed in White Washed Belgian Flax Linen. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular frame. Likes or dislikes? Pros or cons? There really is not a lot out there and it's a big investment, so I want to make sure it is worth it. Thanks in advance!

I think this bed is beautiful, cannot speak to quality or value for $$. I do know it would not work for hubby and I...cleaning it would drive me nuts, especially headboard where oil from hair gets grimy.

Do you LOVE maintenance? I can't think of a more difficult thing to keep clean. Bedrooms are where you shed skin. Dust is mainly skin. If you love hauling the cover off and you love laundry? Have at it. I wouldn't touch it.

There are roughly nine zillion platform beds. ................: ) Flax or no flax..........it's the same grunge.

If you MUST have it? Do it in LEATHER. Bottom picture.

tidy bed making required for any styled like this : ) VERY tidy.

At least you can wipe off the mattress lateral edges, and the very low DUST line that you won;t be able to get at ..............as you raise dust with the vacuum.

Others people are more talented than I am about judging distances in the dark and getting up fully awake. I would stub my toes and trip into or out of that bed a lot, plus also would not enjoy making that bed in the morning or cleaning it. My husband has dust mite and other allergies that he actually only developed is his latter adult years, so if we had bought a bed like that earlier, no problem, it would have gone the way of the cats, by necessity, once we realized what was going on.

My teenage son has a similar bed. Very hard to change sheets and I always stub my toes. But the dog loves that she can jump right up on it. Lol

Why not if you like it? I am not sure why it is more high maintenance than other choices. I have an "upholstered" bed and upholstered side and foot boards and it doesn't receive more "wear" than anything else. I don't lean my head directly against the headboard but I never did with my prior bed which had a wood headboard - I have bed pillows.

In terms of cost, you might consider having it made by an upholstery shop. I fell in love with a bed I saw and had it made for me. Not only was it less expensive but it also enabled me to get exactly the fabric I wanted rather limiting it to the choices available from a store bought one.

In terms of comfort, I have an adjustable bed platform and it is heaven to sleep on. I would not get a bed that would not enable me to use an adjustable bed. The adjustable bed is essentially a platform that you place the mattress in so that the decorative frame does nothing except provide a decorative element - i.e. the adjustable bed sits inside the decorative bed frame.

My bed frame has lucite legs so it has a "floaty" kind of quality.

Did you buy it? I am between the cloud and Modena framed (nontufted)
