rectangle, oval or circle mirror??

We have to decide on a mirror or mirrors for our kids/guest bathroom. The contractor removed the 1960s integrated light box, and we chose a double vanity instead of a single. As a result, the edge of the vanity extends beyond where the light box was before. I don't want to draw attention to this. See the photo. Which shape of mirror would "guide the eyes" away from the asymmetry of the box edge vs the vanity edge? I feel like a tall rectangle would DRAW attention. A 22" circle would avoid it and match the hardware, and the oval? Should I consider oval instead??

I think ovals would be nice. They would fill up the space vertically without being to wide horizontally. And you are correct that a rectangular mirror doesn't work as well in your situation.

I don't understand what you mean about the box edge. Can you take a picture of the vanity and whatever the box edge is? From what I can see, one large mirror would help to enlarge the space.

@Suki Mom, if you click on the first picture to open it up fully, you'll see that there is a recess above the vanity that held a light box. The side of the recess comes back down to ceiling level before the end of the vanity.

I would bite the bullet and frame in and sheetrock the opening. Look for ceiling mounted lights to install over sinks. I doubt if you will be happy trying to "fool the eye".
