Creamy white sounds very pretty. I’d do black trim. The shutters are fine if you like them. You won’t necessarily need them after painting. But if you like them they’re not a problem shutter.
I’d probably actually paint them that color that they are now in two/ three shades lighter.

That little blue pot in the photo seems to go great with the the stones. though I am a big fan of black trim too. Overall white seems like a great choice.

Folks, this is amazing. I would love black trim but was worried that the black would clash with the roof/ stone patio etc. No? I am very drawn to high contrast paint exteriors.

I am puzzled by the cross hatching in the windows. Is that a permanent fixture?

Even if you do the trim black, if you want to keep the shutters, consider painting them white or a medium to light gray. I would also pick a bright door color.

I'm really liking white on your house. I tried some blues and greens and white seems to look the best. I don't think I would go with a dark trim though. I think I would keep it white.

I like Melissa R's 2nd rendition. Personally I don't care for black trim so if you only do the windows like kj s's picture it could work nicely

So i think if the diamonds on your windows is permanent, you should paint the house white and the shutters white, but paint the trim of the central large window black or charcoal. I would put brick-orange-red drapes in that central window, not bottom up white shades. If you really must have bottom up shades, get them in black or a dark color and don’t have any drapes at all. With brick red drapes in the windows I would paint the door a dark bronze green or charcoal. With black bottom-up shades, I’d probably go with a black door.

I would do the main house in one of these. Door and shutter color depending on which one of these you picked

Thank you all for your comments, suggestions and renderings. I was thinking of urbane bronze trim but now that I see it, I prefer the photo of the small house with the black windows. My windows are vinyl and cannot be painted except for the surrounding wood trim. Buying black windows was prohibitively expensive since we had to replace 16 of them. I'm in Los Angeles, so prices are already outrageous.

My favorite combo is white house with brown trim. Not as stark as black.

KJ S, love the pic you shared but that roof is dark. My very light tan roof is what is throwing me off. This would be much simpler if I didn't have this very light roof.
