I’m a complete novice at maintaining landscaping so I come in search of some advice. This is the current status of my spirea (I believe they are goldmound) - leaves are clearly growing but they all look unruly with lots of sparse or dead branches. These leaves are growing at the ends of bare branches. I’ve done some homework on pruning but wondering how far back to prune at this point. I’m in Maryland (zone 7a). Is it too late to cut these back?
