We are in Ontario Canada and getting ready to build our country home. We are in a rural location on a large acreage away from high traffic. We are looking at white or light cream coloured siding and wondering if some types of siding is easier to keep clean/repel dirt better than others.

For anyone that lives in a northern/4 season climate that has chosen white or a lighter cream colour for your siding can you share which type you have (wood? vinyl?) and how hard it is to keep clean or how often you need to clean it, etc?
