Can anyone identify this pest?

I find them scuttering around my balcony floor at night. The biggest ones are about 1-2mm, while the smallest ones can be 0.5 or less. They move pretty quickly, some can even jump for like 2-3cm distance. Anyone know what this is and how I can deal with it?

the time to be concerned.. is when you find them on your plants.. not on the balcony ...

when IDing bugs.. location is usually helpful .. but im not sure on these pix anyone can ... but they have surprised me before ...

if i had to throw anything out there.. i might say gnats.. upon no reasonable basis ...

ps: and to be honest .. i dont know how you could take a better pic without a microscope ... or some fancy camera lens ...

I'm presuming that these insects haven't been observed flying around, correct? They look more beetle-like, to me. And it's best not to consider them a "pest" until they do something to deserve that status.

I'll do some looking around to see if I can find anything that resembles this.
