Bishop Cabinets (or another cabinet rec)

I tried to search through the threads, but all the comments on Bishops cabinets are well over 5 years old. Does anyone have recent experience with them? The KD we are speaking to suggested them. I cannot find any recent reviews about them at all. I have seen a sample for color (which I liked), but I would really appreciate any feedback.

We are looking for a well-made stock cabinet. Trying to stay in budget (<10k). The kitchen is 10x11 (L-shape with island). Any suggestions are welcome:)

We did end up getting them. Some circumstances beyond our control due to COVID (Not a good time for a project, but who knew?).

I am fine with the construction and the look. I wanted clean and simple and that's exactly what I got. I cared more about the boxes than the doors b/c if I ever want to redo the kitchen in the future I did not want to have to replace the boxes. However, the rep from Bishop that I dealt with was horrific! I hope it was just the rep from my area. The designer I worked with did do everything to make the situation OK, which I appreciated.

They have low-end to high-end lines. If you are looking at the lower-end options, then I would steer away from them. We went middle of the road. Here is a pic so you can see the cabinets. One thing I noticed is there were not a lot pics to see them in the "real world" , only marketing pics.

I have only had them for about 8 months. I have seen people mention the finish. I have 4 kids so there is definitely a lot of wiping down doors (especially where the pull out trash is) and so far it's fine. I only use warm water w/ dish soap and gently wipe of the dirt. I am also a little particular so I do this right when I see the dirt and it never really has a chance to sit.

Ultimately, make sure you see a sample of the cabinet with the finish you want before committing. We did do this.

Oh, thanks. That sounds emphatic and not good. Back to the cabinet drawing board:)

I unfortunately can't recommend Bishop. I'm a NC resident and I worked with Your Cabinet Connection owner Mr. Allen on a $60k semi-custom cabinet order and while we went with Bishop because their cabinet quality and met our needs, our subcontractor Mr. Allen became atrocious to work with and Bishop failed to ensure the custom service they claim is important to them. Worrying more about upsetting Your Cabinet Connection, Bishop displayed far too much reluctance to assist a client of their cabinets than I am comfortable with. In our situation we had contacted Bishop 175 days after our cabinets arrived and we were still struggling to get Mr. Allen to respond to a punch-list of wrongfully-ordered or install-damaged items. Respectfully, we understand COVID-19 has presented all businesses and industries challenges here in 2020 and 2021, but in a situation where I regret to advise our challenges were not COVID related and instead a result of basic subcontractor was neglectful, Bishop was not there for us. I won't use their cabinet line again, and absolutely cannot recommend them for this reason. As a client, you can't be held hostage by your subcontractor, and your cabinet vendor needs to be true to their company mission. I'm sure you have a lovely project you're working on as well as a budget and timeline you need to reasonably stick to. If your business partner isn't thinking the same way, and concerned for your interests, go to one that is.

so we are in the process right now ordering Bishop Deluxe Box cabinets not the standard ones and everyone has been super helpful. Our designer works hand in hand with the contractor and both have a great relationship with the Bishop rep who is local to our area in NJ. So far been happy and price comes in , in the middle of the several cabinets and designs we saw.
