The short tubs are the worst. They're almost not even worth getting in. If this is your only tub, get one that an adult can actually bathe in as well.

Also pay attention to the tubs overflow height. This measurement will tell you how high the tub can be filled before it starts draining. Example: 14" h tub but overflow only 9.5" h = barely 9.5" high water level.

And is 9.5 inch. of water not enough for an adult? That's what I'm wondering.

It's high enough to sit in water but not soak. Grab a tape measure and sit down. Measure up 9.5" from the chair bottom or floor. I'm 5'4" and it comes about an inch above my belly button.

We stayed in a 2 bathroom, one bathtub spec home during our home building process. I'm a tub person. The tub was a standard 14" with 9.5" overflow. I disliked it terribly but was the only thing I had for a year. In our new build there are two bathtubs: a standard in the kids but a super deep one in the master. My hubby, who is not a tub person, loves our soaker and has used it more than he thought he would.

Having a deeper than normal tub in your secondary bath could be selling feature in the future since there isn't one in the master. If the price is good, I'd go for a deeper one.
