Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Replace shower wall only

I am planning to re-do my shower wall tile, but keep the existing floor tile. Both are relatively new (3 years) by the house builder, but I am not a big fan of the 6x6 white tiles on the shower wall. Is this advisable to change out only the shower wall tile, but keep the shower floor tile?

As long as you don't mind having improper waterproofing if you do what you want.

Waterproofing is integrated between the floors and the walls of the shower.

When you rip out the wall tiles you will destroy the integration so the shower will no longer be waterproof.

Both showers. I'd like to get rid of the square tiles.

Not advisable at all, and no reputable tile guy would agree to do it. If you do get a contractor willing to do it, plan on major water damage to not only the bathroom but also any rooms below. And also count on your insurance not paying 1 dime for a claim.
