Wow they look great. Mine aren't blooming. Hope that changes soon but we are expecting a freeze mid week. Will that affect them?

Gorgeous Sherry! My E. Sulphureum (you only missed the 2nd u) is not blooming yet and yes they are calling for snow here on Wednesday. I really hope they are wrong for both of us but especially you!

Sherry..so pretty!..mine are blooming too..I'm curious..did you cut off any old leaves?..mine have some old unattractive leaves..I cut a few but didn't finish..

So what's the secret to getting them to bloom? Mine are in the same area as hostas, hellebores, coral bells and a Japanese maple. I have leaves but no blooms.

Mine has never been a great bloomer, but it’s showing some flowers right now. We are expecting frost temps at night the next few days. :-(

NW, I trim the epimedium to about three inches which means the leaves are all gone. I really don’t know much about them. No secrets here, they get an extra watering during really dry spells, other than that they are ignored. They get almost no sun. These have been growing here about 5 years, this is the best bloom so far. I have four other varieties, two for a very short time. The sulphureum is the best bloomer by far.

I added these plants because they grow in dry shade and have interesting, lovely leafs, the blooms were a bonus to me.

Those are very big flowers! I have a pink variety, the flowers are so tiny you hardly see them.

I hope we're spared the worst of the snow and cold! I plan to protect stuff, but really have no idea where to even start.

NW, your epimediums are looking good! Mine had no green leafs left from last season, so they got pruned.
