Lambswool duster cleaning

Does this duster care brush truly and effectively clean the wool duster that's pictured beneath it?

Because I own a lambswool duster, and when i slide my hand down the wool, the way i saw in a duster-cleaning instruction video, it didn't really get out all the dust.

I've seen advice not to wash lambswool dusters, because washing might remove its lanolin coating which attracts dust.
