I did some more research - apparently "wrought iron" is a somewhat misused term. Formally, wrought iron is a type of iron:

I think the thing I was more looking for is 'forged' vs 'cast' iron. There are very few production manufacturers of forged door hardware. As noted above, both Acorn and Renovator's supply have forged and cast hardware.
