I think that I would ignore the labels on the floor plan. Utilize the largest section of the room as your living room and place your dining table at the end closest to the balcony. Do you have a dining table? Or will you eat at the peninsula bar? What are YOUR priorities? That can shape how you use the space.

Ptreckel, We would like to have a small dining table, but I am not sure if there is really room for a table, tv, and LR furniture.

Wall mount TV on the 4' wall on an articulated arm so you can adjust for best viewing. Follow what JudyG suggested with a sofa and drop leaf table. You might try a pair of chairs, end table and lamp on the 19' wall so your seating is in an "L" and add a large area rug if you don't have carpeting.

Look at Ikea's catalog. They have a huge number of ideas for furnishing small spaces.

I especially recommend that you have furniture that you can easily move around (nothing heavy or dark), so you can re-configure on the fly if you have guests.

I would also section off the narrow piece of bedroom for use as a closet, provided the graphic doesn't show a door to the balcony.

Get balcony furniture that you can re-purpose in the living room if you have lots of guests. See Ikea for this, too.
