patriceny, I didn't even think about outside steps. Carpet would be the worst thing on outside steps.

If one wants to use a waterproof luxury vinyl tile on the basement floor, what would be the best way to cover concrete stairs leading from main level of interior house to basement. I have heard that carpet is the best option but carpet does not look great on stairs, especially if the basement concrete floor does not have carpet.
