No animal heads or skins for me. I even shudder at the faux ones. I just find them very uncomfortable to be around.

Cowhide isn't my style, but I do have an Alpaca rug I put in my living room during the winter. If the cowhide enhances the decor, why not. I don't think it would be a deal breaker for selling a house. They are not buying the rug.

If it's for staging, I wouldn't Some people won't care, but some will. Why limit your potential buyer pool?

If the home is in Texas the cowhide is ok. Any other state: no.

I would need to see the space . I like them but my dog would eat it if I had one even though one would work in my space .

I agree with kculbers that it is okay in Texas, and maybe Arizona, Wyoming, Montana, etc, but the location of the property is key here.

I'm ambivalent about it, and so I cannot vote, since that is not one of the options.

I find it offensive and a turn off.

My husband was at a trade show and came back with some items, one of which was a fake cowhide rug. I offered it to numerous family and friends and no one wanted it. In staging you try to appeal to as many buyers as you can, although in the grand scheme of things it’s not going to make any difference in a sale.

that staging company I mentioned above -- it's in Seattle, which is just about the most liberal leaning city around. practically everyone I know is either a vegetarian, or half vegetarian, and/or tries their best to eat ethically sourced food. but that staging company uses animal hides all the time. go figure.

I absolutely love their designs, but like I said above, I feel like any of those rooms would look just as good without the animal skins.
