Hi

I've turned my living room and kitchen into a big open plan space, its a flat in a converted victorian school building and the ceiling height is about 3.4m. The south facing wall is about 8m long and has 4 big windows in it, the west facing wall is about 6m and has 2 big windows that catch the evening sun....when there is any, I live in Glasgow! The overall space is about 44sqm.

I have a new anthracite colour kitchen and have installed some panelling which I have painted black, Crown, Elle Decor range: 'Absolute Granite'. The walls are also Crown Elle Decor, 'Sidewalk' and the windows and window returns are also Crown Elle Decor, 'Rock Solid' which is close to the kitchen colour. The floor is a distressed white antique oak.

I am wondering if I should go dark or white with the ceiling. I was contemplating painting it the same colour as the windows as large spaces can apparently feel a bit more cosy with a dark ceiling and it also has the loft style feel with a dark colour. That also brings me to the question about the blinds, I am going for smart roller blinds and whilst I don't think I want blackout I am debating whether to go with something that matches or contrasts the windows.

Any thoughts would be appreciated! :)
