How big is your bar? How big are the slabs?

The contractor said it’s just a regular quartz slab. The bar is 25x130. He said the largest slab he has is 126. So he doesn’t have enough for a solid countertop that size.

130 is not small. You start having availability issues in single slab over 120.

It depends on where the seam is….my 12’ bar has a seam right at the faucet install. Don’t even notice it.

Jumbo engineered stone slabs are 64 1/2" x 130 1/2". If your selection comes in a jumbo, you can probably be seamless.

Shorten the bar or live with a seam or get a different slabe that comes jumbo.BTW that is one very odd size bar so maybr post a pic of the plan since I usually like seating at the bar.

How big is everything else if you think this 10 1/2’ bar is “small.” Your definitions might need recalibration.

When the contractor mentioned I’d have to pick where the seams goes I picked where the first set of drawers(left side of the pic) and the first cupboard meet. I had mentioned have it split where the faucet is in the middle. But he said its not a good idea because it would be a weak point. ?????

Why continue with this person when there are so many professionals to choose from?

Celadon my friends and families bars and kitchenettes are much larger than mine. Mine is considered tiny in comparison. 🥴

Keep in mind with the CNC machines, you do lose an inch or two when cutting and routing the edges. So the entire jumbo length is not "useable"

The sizes listed are the sizes the manufacturer guarantees the fabricator will get as useable material. Sometimes you get an inch or so more.

Say what about not putting the seam at the sink? I thought the pros on Houzz say that's where the seam SHOULD go if that's an option?
