can anyone help me with this

can any one help me with this succculent. I watered from top, in winters n it was growing lush n green. As summer approached, it started having a dry centre. Any idea my top water is the culprit, or is it shade loving n too much sun is burning it up.i was under sun from 8am -530pm(sunset) Btw i hve placed it under shade , where sunlight is less. The temperature these days in my part of india are 32 degree celcius and 62% humidity.

Someone on a different forum suggested that with time the individual succulents tends to grow tal as such droops n fall on side thus exposing lower stem which wr under it own shade n after being exposed to summer sun dries. The bald patch wl b green soon with fresh growth. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM IF DAT IS TRUE. I WUD B THANKFUL FOR HELP.

how long in the pot ... media wears out.. causing watering issues ...

it also look like a fairy ring ... where the old center just peters out .. sometimes right where the old pot media was ... that might be a lawn problem name.. that i appropriated.. but crikey on trying to search anything with the word fairy in the search term ... there must be a better technical term

its probably time to just pull the planter apart ... find the good parts.. refill with fresh proper media ... and replant the good parts ...

where are you.. big city name ... how much sun.. why did you water in winter??? ... did the plant need water in winter ???

btw .. media is used in pots ... its a water management system .. and frankly.. the most important thing in the pot ...

soil is mother earth ... and not real easy to deal with in pots ...water wont flow properly thru it ...

and dirt is what is all over you after you play in either of them ...

it looks like you pot is filled with at best.. soil.. and maybe just dirt ...

and therein lies your base issue... water management issues ... associated with winter in this case ...

i cant ID the plant due to focus issues ... but i wouldnt be surprised if that wont stop some of the wizards here ...

btw.. does that pot or tray have a drain hole in the bottom ....

Yes it has bottom hole

I live in india north part, we hve full sunny days. Temp these days is 32 degree celcius, 62% humidity. My plant was in sun frm 7am-6pm(sunset). Now i hve moved it to shade with some direct sun for few hours.

It has been in pot for a year

I watered in winters just once in a month as winters r dry in my part, no snow just frost.

DAT MEANT i got a reply on another forum. I have pasted the suggestion in my original post, i was asking if it was true.
