Hi! We bought this home. I am excited about this space because I have always wanted beams and a focal point wall. As you see (pics in comments)...this fireplace is throwing off my vibe. The originals owners cut out tile to mount TV and then re-mounted it slightly lower. Then there is the fireplace and what I am assuming to be a the log holder/storage to the right. I want to re-tile or stone the wall and remove the hanging cords. Now here is my question...do I cover up the fireplace and wood holder completely? Do I just cover up the wood holder and have an off center fireplace? And how do I update the look / design of the fireplace. I'm strugglin with this one. Any design suggestions would be soooo appreciated! Thanks!
