It's one of my first 3 roses. My love for it fades a way when I discovered fragrant roses. It's a good landscape rose, flowers last pretty long, like a week or so. In full sun it will grow very bushy and upright.

Jump For Joy! Starts off with such captivating name! and the colors are truly striking!

When many JJ plants are blooming together it's totally hypnotizing and joyful!

This rose started my passion and interest for roses and wishing it was a bit more scented.

Notable sisters are Sparkle & Shine and Doris Day!

Wow !! Absolutely wonderful color & health. That's the type of color I have been searching for. Thank you. Ever since I sniffed Austin roses at nearby rose park, I only grow fragrant roses. My neighbor has a stingy Rugosa (Rugosa hates our dense clay), and she tied silk-flowers on them. I complimented her on the many blooms (didn't know they are faked flowers) .. then she told me the silk flowers she tied on the bush stay good for years .. even through zone 5 winter! But artificial silk flowers have zero scent.

That must be the most gorgeous rose I have ever seen! It has such a nice form, not a spindly bush. It also looks really healthy! Where could I order one from? Also is it cold tolerant? I am in zone 5b/6a and it sometimes gets really cold.

@strawchicago z5 that is hilarious that she put fake blossoms on her roses! I believe it though, Zone 5 is awful for gardening sometimes. I put in some roses at my Grandparent's house in zone 5 and I am just hoping that they made it through!

GardeningTeenager, I bought this from my local nursery. There are several online nurseries that sell this rose, such as Heirloom and High Country Rose.

I agree that Jump for Joy is strikingly pretty. My neighbor has one and the blooms seem to have an inner glow which I love.

I got a good laugh out of strawchicago's post regarding her neighbor who tied silk flowers to her bush so it was always in bloom. I LOVE this idea!!! In fact I don't even need to have a thorny rose bush to do this. I could get silk flowers and put them on any bush! I know it is kind of sad that I love this idea but I really do. :-)

mmmm12COzone5 I'm looking at the huge wreath I made over the fireplace, it has silk roses on it, and it's looking good for the past 20 years. I think it's a fantastic idea to tie silk-flowers on roses to make it ever-blooming, even in the snow !!
