What do you think about this begonia?

IIRC this was a tuber saved from a grocery store outdoor basket. It went dormant; I potted it up in the current pot and kept it over the winter as I do my big cane begonia, in a north window with scant water until they sprout again.

I was delighted to see it start to grow, but I am astonished at the size of the leaves - perhaps due to the north light situation (it has still been too chilly here to put them outside)? Or is this typical for a 2nd or 3rd year of this type?

Also I am surprised at how much water this one sucks up! I only fill the little tray that the pot sets in - it consumes 2 cups of water every 2 days! I didn't think tuberous begonias liked THAT much water - maybe that is why I've had little success with them? I've had some that rotted in the pots, so I thought that they had too much water from natural rainfall.
