Hoping for some help on pendent lighting placement. While this seems to be a common question, I couldn’t quite find anything already out there that matched my dilemma.

I am planning on 3 pendants (not 2 as currently shown). Our island will have a 12 inch over hang with seating.

Pendants are currently centered to the hood, and also centered to the island cabinets (not to the island counters which had a seating overhang). The view from our living room faces the hood, so I think centering the lights to the hood will look great. However, I’m having 2nd thoughts about how the pendants will look over the island since the overhang will make it so that the pendants and island counters are not centered.

Am I over thinking this? Or should I reconsider placement?
