My tall beardeds bloom later than my intermediate beardeds that bloom later than my dwarfs which are later than the miniature dwarfs- shorter varieties bloom earlier in general. Browse Schreiner's- you can shop by bloom season at this link.

Try Iris pallida -- foliage is outstanding all season, and the light-to-mid blue flowers are highly fragrant (reminiscent of grapes to my nose). I have the green-and-white variegated variety, there's also yellow variegated available (link shows the yellow).

I don't care for tall bearded iris -- they get too ratty after bloom. I do have a clump of dwarf bearded which is nice, I've divided it so many times over the past 20-something years, it just keeps on going! The dwarf iris stay much tidier, although some years the foliage is better than others. Really, though -- can't go wrong with the I. pallida.
