Does this table work in my space

Hello!

I loved this table online but now that it is here it is much lighter than I expected and now i'm worried I have too much various wood. I plan on putting a mirror in the arch and removing the frames/round mirror.

Is the table too long?

Is the color off?

The color is fine - I think the outlier is the small table by the arch...I'd paint that a fun color. It's hard to tell if the table is too long as we can't see the full space.

I like the color of the console table in your space. I prefer a collected look with different wood tones. I think the overall vibe will be improved significantly once you simplify what's hanging in the arch. Pretty space.

    I like the table color.

As others mention, suggest simplifying the decor. It is somewhat busy to my eye, as there is a fair amount going on with the light fixtures and architectural details. I would relocate the table beneath the arch to another room and limit the arch niche to a single piece of artwork.

Just my thoughts! Hope they help.

Some of the commenters think you are asking about the dining table. You may want to edit your post. The color of the console table is fine. The 4 foot length would have been better than this 5 foot option, but you do have a fairly large hallway so it's not too cramped around the room openings. Remove all the items inside the alcove now so you can picture the finished area. After you decide whether to use glass or one large piece of art in the alcove, then you can add one or three decorative items to the table.

I think the color of the console table is lovely. because you have other dark pieces in the room (sofa, dining table, mirror) the lighter and softer shade of the console complements the rest of the space nicely. Once you put stuff on the table such as two lamps, books, picture frames, etc. it will look great!

Really, this is about the console table??? I see a picture of a big dining table in the first photo. Thought the other photos were to show all of the wood colors going on... my bad!

I like the console table. I just don't think it belongs in that particular spot... I don't think any table belongs in that spot though (for added context).

    Just my opinion :)

    Seems too wide to me.

I also think it's too long. If you can return it I would and find one narrower. It's not terrible, and if it were a piece you already own and need a spot for, it would be ok. But if you are buying something specifically for that spot I'd say the size isn't quite right.

How about a table the width of the arched niche, and paint the back wall of the niche to match the table?

The dining table is not the right style for your interior that is why it feels out of place. Your home exudes a relaxed farmhouse style, this table is a transitional undecided mid century?? With some asian influence? Non descript. It is also a redish color that does not work with your other furnishings. If you have the possibility return it

@LilDesignWorks the dining table we have had for awhile, the entry table is new and what I was questioning. I will eventually replace the dining room table as well. We are slowly updating our furniture. I took that picture to show the dining room table color

Sorry for the missunderstanding! I love the entry table, your house looks great! The entry table looks like it belongs there, with all the light fixtures, fireplace, couch and dining room table decor. You can keep all the decor around the entry table as well, it has a collected friendly look:) The dining table itself can be made to blend in as well if it had different chairs:) so if planning to change down the road, just changing the chairs would be a possibility!
