Daisy chaining low voltage lighting advice

I have low voltage lights that have gone out after several years. The wiring is in place, so I am replacing the fixtures. The original lights had compression connectors that clamped on to the landscape wire (no splicing needed). The new lights have two wires. Should I splice in using the drycon bury connectors or use the clamp ins? I tried reusing the clamp ins and it did work on one. My concern is multiple point of failure risk.
