Lilies have different meanings all over the world. Chinese believe that lilies bring good luck. Assyrian culture think lilies represent the Holy flower. Greek lore associates lilies with motherhood. Christians believe lilies represent chastity and innocence.

Hello girls. SPent 2 days figuring out what I need to do to finish the front bed. They said rain on sat and next 4 days. So I moved marigolds and 4 o clocks around. No rain and lots of sun today. So spent the morning watering.. The lilies are blooming. I love looking at all your flower pictures.

Iris symbolise faith, hope, and wisdom. Separate colors symbolize other things. Purple iris for wisdom and compliments, blue iris for faith and hope, yellow iris for passion, and white iris for purity!

Iris are named after Iris, goddess of the rainbow in Greek mythology! Sure fits the name!

Iris come in all colors of the spectrum except for true colors of red!

Iris are as useful as they are attractive. The rhizomes some species are known as orris roots.

Commercially used for fragrance in perfumes and others used in potpourri and natural toothpastes.

Yellow flag irises are using their rhizomes for water purifiers.

Hello girls. I got my sunny package from Beth. Love big flowers and she set me up with Moulin rouge, Henry Wilde and teddy bear sunflower seeds. And a Brussels alpine seed. Idid get 1 plant to come back. They seem to rot here. But with all the seeds in this pack I can start 100. Morgan county seeds has so many seeds. 2 cute hand made cards. Thank you Beth

Glad you liked my choices,Morgan County seeds are almost always very generous. When they are not ( like the seedless watermelon) they tell you the number you will get. Those cards are the creations of a friend who is a gardener, photographer and artist. Glad you like them too this has been a fun

Had so much fun! Great swap! Thank you! Are we suppose to send what we want from Bakers Creek to you for our prize?

thank you Renae for a good month. I enjoy sharing my garden. It also gives me time to slow down and look closely at the garden. I am often focused on the to tall
plant, or not enough color in an area. And the plants every one else has thrivng in their yards. I went to my community garden and focused on the plants not making it. when I stood back and had a "moment" on how tall the tomato plants are. Have picked 2 for the 4th and the lettuce is 2 foot tall. If I only had dozen plants I am sure they would get the admiration they deserve. but I plant more because I can.

Yes, ma'am. Just go to Baker Creek and make your selection and let me know. I thought it might be a fun prize to choose your own seeds. 👩‍🌾

Just wanted to show Kindly light lily. I am sorry to say I can not recall who sent it to me. She is tall and strong .

My month for host is Aug. And I will be themed "share from the garden." By then we will all have an abundance of plants or seeds to share. I saw Jayeanne was supposed to be July. If she can not . It made me think if what fun it was just sharing pictures. I can oversee A month of show what's going on in your garden. And a bingo. No swapping.

Susan please take July and do as you say, show what's going on in your garden. We just returned home today from a vacation to West Virginia. You should have seen us scrambling to dig enough plants for Eddie to take to market tomorrow. Just finished before it got so dark we couldn't see.

Thank you so much this month was fun, enjoyed seeing everyone's photos. And I have never won Bingo. I will email you my seed selections tonight. Thank you again for hosting!

    Garden Friends,

Thanks again for joining our group. I truly enjoyed seeing all of the photos and everyone's beautiful plants. It was fun seeing all the watering cans, weeds, compost, and extras around the gardens, too. Thanks for being such good sports and playing along!

Those who won Baker Creek seeds - thanks for your orders! All is in order.

Susan, I need your address, please. I have some seed & a card for you.

Shirley, ditto. Please send your address so I can pop your card in the mail.
