I’m decorating our basement right now. It will be a mixed use space for everything from movie night to hosting ladies brunch/cocktails, to a loving room for out of town guests, to playroom. It will be furnished with a couch and some accent chairs. All the toys and brunch table/chairs are in storage closets down there, so super easy to swap out stuff to repurpose the room.

The walls are painted SW Repose Gray and the kitchen cabinets are a deep blue (almost navy) with gold hardware and white quartz countertops.

I love love love this space. I do need some help as to what colors I should incorporate down there. When we get our new sofa for our upstairs living room, we will be bringing down the older one, which is a light gray. So I can always add colored throw pillows to break up all the gray.

I want to do something dramatic, yet playful for the window treatment. I am thinking of adding some trim around the window and then putting up floor to ceiling curtains. What color would you choose? Also, my husband built a beautiful TV stand and I have no clue as to what to paint it. Would love to hear your suggestions!

Included are some pics from when our house was listed last year. The furniture was the previous owners as we will be using different pieces. The wall color is a bit darker and cooler than how it looks in the picture.
