The 1st pic is from 5/14 and 2nd pic from yesterday. I have it in an east facing window.

Wow, I wouldn't normally consider East-facing as enough sun to cause sun stress. I suppose that's one of the special features of Hoya Sunrise is that it sun stresses more readily than other varieties.

It's beautiful and certainly increasing my desire for one of these. I don't have sunrise. I look at them a lot and then never seem to pull the trigger.

You need to get one! It’s such a pretty veining and leaf. The flowers are not that exciting but I buy hoyas for their leaves. Haha

So pretty! The reaction didn't take long at all. Someone traded me an obscura which looks very similar to sunrise, I was hoping they'd share the tanning trait. But mine isn't coloring up even though it's pretty near a grow light.

Tika, I'm amazed at how quickly the leaves reddened up. It's going to be a very happy camper.

Like popmama said - now I have to get one!

Also, like you, it's the leaves on my hoyas which attract me. The flowers are just icing on the cake. I love seeing the leaves fill out and covering the vines.

I do have one kerrii however, which has a 3+ foot vine, no leaves and a single peduncle right at the tip, which should open in another two weeks or so. Maybe I'll go have a talk with it and try to encourage it to put some clothes on. I'll have to convince it no one likes a naked plant! 🤣

Best of luck with yours and keep those pictures coming.

Thank you Bill! I have the sunrise sitting inches away from an east facing window. I think you definitely need one. :)

My Kerri hasn’t grown at all since last Aug. I think it maybe fake! 😂 Good luck with yours. Better talk to her and tell her to put on some clothes. Haha

Tika - I know, right? This younger generation of plants has no respect and no shame. The older ones cover themselves in leaves completely, but these younger whippersnappers seem to think nothing matters except their own pleasure. Somehow I need to embarrass her into putting something on and getting with the program. I'll let you know how our talk goes.....
