Which brand Wolf or Dacor 36 inch induction range ?

Having a difficult time deciding between these two induction ranges. They have many similar features such as convection boost for induction, bridging for induction etc. Would appreciate any comments or advise before the purchase.

IMO you buy appliances for how you cook. Do you have experience with induction cooking that is the first thing to ask . What are the ovens like ? I will say I have 3 clients who insisted on induction that have now gone back to gas so really think about how you cook not what is in at the moment. I have always found Wolf to over priced as a gas range but I am not familiar with them as induction but IMO a company that has always prided itself on gas seems to be jumping on the band wagon for induction maybe without some real thought. Sorry not much help as to choice you need to really think about how you will use the appliance and if course all your pots will need to work too. I use a portable induction burner for delicate sauces and melting choc -olate but for real cooking I still love gas .

We have used a portable induction burner and love it. This type of cooking suits our needs. We have already purchased the new copper pots by Mauviel specifically designed for the induction cook tops. Now we are trying to decide between the 36 inch ranges and would love some feedback as to the brands and which direction would give us the best product. The blue porcelain chipping is a concern and it seems difficult to get info on comparing these two units.

I would go with Wolf. I am not at all comfortable with Dacor. Wolf induction has been around for a few years now, and I doubt they even make their own induction. OTOH, I am not a fan of the Wolf blue enamel chipping problem. Maybe look at AGA induction since you want 36". Personally, I would go with 30" and Miele for a range, or do a cooktop and oven seperately.

great choice to go with induction! we did about 7 years ago and would never go back to gas/electric/electric coil. its just the best IMO

we went with 36" miele induction cooktop - miele speed oven & wolf full size oven. all appliances have been excellent. no blue enamel issues for me, thank goodness!

i would do a separate cooktop and oven but if that's not a option, i would go with Wolf just based on reputation and service.

Were you concerned about the blue enamel issues when you purchased the wolfe oven? Have you used your self cleaning option or do you just wipe it out as needed. I have heard that more problems with blue chipping are seen when self clean mode is used. Glad to hear you love the induction.

Found another 36 inch induction Fulgor Milano Sophia. The Dacor 36 inch is discontinued . Therefore it is between these two brands and their 36 inch ranges. Would love some advice?

Would you please share what range you selected if you made a choice. I am trying to select a 36 or 40 inch induction range (Ilve has one). Thank you!

We are going to get the Wolfe 36 induction range. We were told by the sales personal that they have not had complaints about enamel. The sales people also said the the Wolfe induction 36 range is in a " league of its own" so to speak and that any repairs and parts with the Wolfe product will not be an issue like they may be with other brands going forward. I have not heard to a 40 inch induction range. Which brand is it?
