Inside Mount Window Blinds Possible?

Hello does anyone know if it’s possible to put inside mount window blinds in this kind of window jamb? Thanks.

You cannot attach thru the jambliner and you also do not have a deep jamb so no you cannot use inside mount.

You have to mount above the window. All of my windows are done that way.

Ok thanks all. Any good brands you recommend for outside mount?

I went to Home Depot, and ordered the Levelor custom "faux wood" blinds. Had to measure all my windows of course. I installed them all, myself. Not difficult once you figure out the first one. Saves you a lot to do it yourself. My blinds have been up for many years now, and are still in excellent condition. I just had to take them all down to have new replacement windows installed, but it was a piece of cake. - very simple to slide out and slide back in. That is probably one advantage of the outside mount - if you ever get new windows it makes it a lot easier.

You can certainly have HD, or a local blind store come out and measure and do the install, but you'll pay more for that of course.

@Fenstermann LLC, can your cellular blinds be powered and automated?

Yes they can. We do have a bottom up version with lithium-ion batteries that charge like a smart phone via plug in and the header is only 1 1/8 inches. Depending on usage, the charge lasts 6 to 9 months and the shade can be operated via rc, app or alexa.

Just curious Fennstermann. do you work through retailers or direct? is your product made in Germany?

"I am so glad I saw your post and can stop you from making a huge mistake."

I suspect the cost of those is pretty high. And while pleated shades are fine, they are not "blinds" and not the look I was after. I wanted 2" blinds. There was no mistake made on my part.

    Hi Chessie,

Do you have any pictures you don’t mind sharing of your blinds?

@Fenstermann LLC, so you don't have a fully wired model? My life already has too many batteries that need to be charged! What about full automation with a crestron/lutron system?

@Chessie Hey Chessie: I did not respond to your comment nor was I interested in it. I responded to the original author and I can solve her problem. With pleated blinds, honeycomb shades and mini blinds. All open bottom-up and top-down. Blinds and Shades.

@chispa I responded to the original request and her picture didn't show any pre-wiring to her window. Yes, of course we do have a hard wired version.

Here are a couple of pics.

First one is my living room and the second is one of the bedrooms. I just had new replacement windows installed, and I will be painting all the trim white. (I am completely over the extensive brown wood trim in my house - I have painted everything else, and the window trim is the LAST of it - I will be THRILLED when it is finished LOL).

    Nice! Looks great

@Fenstermann LLC, I was the one that asked about power to the drapes and you responded that you had batteries. I didn't see anything about wired power or automation on your website ... I feel like I am pulling teeth here!
