Blooms on Sunday

I didn't get many photos today. I work with the tech team at church so I was there from 7:30-12. It was hot by the time I got home to see the flowers. Here are a few of the best today.

Lillian's Thin Ice is looking good this year. This bonus plant has a permanent place in our garden.

Bucklebury Ferry

This small flower is Spacecoast Cheese Whiz.

Here are a few seedlings.

Queen of the Garden is Raspberry Flambe X (Lavender Oasis X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy). The blue ribbon means it has been selected for further evaluation.

Pumpkin Prince X Gavin Petit will be a 2022 introduction. We love the flower, but I was afraid it would never have enough buds to register it. This year it has 5 way branching and over 20 buds. Many of the scapes have more buds than this, but it's hard to count them until the scape is fully expanded.

This is an awkward picture because of how the second flower is positioned, but I had to show it because it made me very happy this morning. It is Let's Dance Tonight X Gary Lynn's Calliopsis. It also got a blue ribbon.

I like Lillian's Thin Ice, but I really like your seedlings, my favorites being your blue ribbon ones, they deserve it. Oranges have never really been my favorites. I do have several orange with the red eye, and keep trying to downsize a couple, but all seem to be such good bloomers. Yours look special to me though.

The red/purple(?) and orange on Let's Dance Tonight X Gary Lynn's Calliopsis seedling provides a good contrast. Nice photo of Lillian's Thin Ice. I'm thinking about getting it but uncertain still whether it will be a "leaner". You definitely have some seedling winners in your beds.

Nan - I'm glad to know Lillian's Thin Ice is doing OK for you, after Kate and Kay's less than stellar reports farther south. I do love that one! All the seedlings are nice, but Let's Dance Tonight X Gary Lynn's Calliopsis captivates me the most.

Well doggone right it needs that blue ribbon! Than Raspberry Flambe X (Lavender Oasis X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy) is really lovely. the border color is much prettier than a lot of RFK kid's borders are.

t is Let's Dance Tonight X Gary Lynn's Calliopsis is also a blue ribbon beauty. Like the color of the eye. Lillian's Thin Ice does look good.

I like both your school bus yellow with red eye seedlings which is really saying something because as a general rule I don't like this color combo . Both are very very nice
