My recommendation would be to tie the stems with string; singly if only a few, in small bunches if you have a lot of them. If you can pierce the stems with a needle, that would be the best way. Hang them wherever you would store the others, and cut one off its stem when needed. That is how I hang hard neck garlic for curing.

Or... lay small quantities in a single layer, in a well-ventilated area.

Yes, thank you, Zeedman. Hanging is far better than piling. Interesting that's what you do with garlic. I've never stored garlic. These dried Red Creole stems are a lot like dried garlic stems. I also realize that I can sorta wrap the string around the stem instead of wrapping the stem around the string, which makes for a looser bundle.
