I moved my Bali Watercolor last fall to see if it would do better. Blooms do look better and a few more if them it is really short this year, I like this one when blooms are not splotchy. I really like your Smoky Mt Autumn

Nancy, My Bali is rally short. It gets shorter by the year. It is not over crowded, not sure of the problem. Gonna have to try a fix of some sort. BTY that is a Smoky Mt Autumn seedling. Very much a look a like.

Brad - The Bali Watercolor problem sounds like it may be grubs. Dig up a part of your clump in October and see if they are feeding at the roots. Your Smokey Mtn. Autumn seedling has beautiful color and ruffles! Bombay Silk is my favorite of the registered ones.

I like the seedling Smoky Mt. Autumn x Jolyene Nichole color. Nice. How and what is the color on Bombay Silk as you see it? I can't get a good read on the color when viewing the photos on NGA.

My Bombay Silk picture is much too pink. It is a red with a hint towards pinkish. My camera can't capture the color. Neither can the phone camera.
