Could the crazy temperature swings be making a difference? I don't know the answer -- just throwing it out there as a possibility, because I know some bees cannot fly in cool weather. We got down into the lower 40s the other night, and some parts of the state had a frost advisory -- in LATE JUNE! There has been a pattern this spring here of very high temps for a few days followed by dramatic dips.

That's OK, Gracie--I bought a nice hummingbird feeder, faithfully filled it with sugar solution, faithfully replaced that every few days, had plenty of flowers around the feeder, and NEVER SAW A SINGLE HUMMINGBIRD so far. Argh!!

To me, they arrived late this year. I'm in the St. Louis area. Just now starting to see some numbers in them. Now just wating on the butterflies!
