Devastated schefflera (umbrella plant)

Hi there,

I have had my schefflera (umbrella plant) for three years before moving to Albuquerque, NM (I previously lived in Chicago). The plant was doing fine until the heatwave that swept the southwest the last few weeks. Here is a photo of what she looks like as of this morning. Does anyone have any care tips or techniques? I will be so sad if the plant doesn't make it!

Whatever you have growing, it is NOT Cyperus alternifolius! It is so wilted at this point it is hard to tell but I'd suspect a schefflera, which also goes by the common name of umbrella plant.

was it outside???

water it properly for a month.. and see if it recovers ...

if you perfect watering .. and the roots survive.. most plants can releaf or recover ... but it might not end up looking like it did before ...

its pot might have been a bit small for the size of the plant .. but now is surely not the time to stress it even more by repotting.. but if it recovers by fall.. you might want to think about that ...

it is incredibly stressed.. it is not hungry;.. fert is not a response right now ...
