Here is a more realistic view of the current colors.

You have great bones! Are you open to wallpaper? Something in a black/white/cream would tie the cool with the warm tones in the room. Definitely change out the light fixture. Add rugs and towels in a color that compliments the room (if you black/white/cream, a soft blue might be nice).

You said, "I really like black metals, white/gray, mixed with natural wood... modern farmhouse style I suppose." This doesn't give us much to go on. If you show us images of your "style" we can suggest specific wallpapers/wall color/textiles/fixtures.
